About Wight Boat Charter

Formed in 2009 to offer a boat charter service for visitors to the Isle Of Wight and local residents. Satsuma is based in East Cowes marina, there is a water taxi service and a floating bridge linking east and west Cowes.

East Cowes Marina

East Cowes Marina is situated in a sheltered location on the Medina River, just upstream of Cowes town centre.

The marina provides 260 fully serviced annual berths and up to 140 visitors’ berths, all with electricity, fresh water and wireless broadband access.

Shoreside facilities include:
* luxurious showers and washrooms;
* laundry
* car parking
* yacht stores
* chandlery
* marquee and BBQs for hire

Also on site is the excellent ‘Lifeboat’ pub and brasserie, serving freshly cooked local produce.

East Cowes welcomes rallies and group bookings and caters for the island’s major events, including the Round the Island Race and Cowes Week.

There are supermarkets, a post office, a restaurant and café/takeaway outlets nearby in East Cowes town centre. West Cowes is also easily accessible by chain ferry or water taxi, with a number of designated pick-up points around the marina.
